Skin Nutrition

nutrición en la piel

Several factors affect the condition and health of our skin.
Not getting enough rest, stress, smoking, alcohol and a sedentary lifestyle will negatively reflect in our skin.

A healthy lifestyle provides nutrition inside and outside; good skin habits include resting, working out, water, and eating foods with antioxidants to counteract factors that damage and deteriorate skin.

We often use excellent skin care products chosen based on our skin type, but we don’t obtain the expected benefits. This is because the nutrition of our body and all our systems should be both internal and external. If we are not eating the right foods in the right proportion, this shows in our skin.

Examples of this include digestive problems, bloating and constipation. The skin becomes dull, with a greater tendency to get fine wrinkles caused by changes in facial expression, or to break out in rashes or pimples. This happens because the body is not getting rid of impurities properly.

Therefore, if you are interested in showing and keeping healthy and luminous skin, there’s another reason to improve your habits and find out about the foods that should be included in your daily diet.

The recommendations are simple:

  • Consume the right amount of antioxidants.
    • The daily requirement of vitamin C is met with 240ml of orange juice.
    • The vitamin E requirement is equal to 3 to 5 almonds or other nuts 3 times a week
    • Carotene equals 1 cup of orange or yellow fruit like mangoes or peaches.
    • Consume tuna or salmon once or twice a week.
  • Get at least 6 hours of sleep
  • Exercise at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes; if you sweat, use a headband to protect your face from sweat and wash it when you are done with your workout.
  • Drink 2 glasses of water at breakfast, 3 at lunch and 1 at dinner to make sure you keep your digestive system properly hydrated.
  • Maintain a facial cleansing and protection routine that suits your skin type. (Ask an expert.)
